Yes. The filtration system removes PFAS from AtmósAgua water. Additionally, generating water from the air greatly reduces PFAS contamination normally found in ground water.
What are PFAS? PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances) includes about 9,000 compounds used in water-, stain-, and heat-resistant products like clothing and carpets. Known as “forever chemicals,” they persist in the environment and accumulate in humans.
PFAS are linked to cancer, birth defects, liver and thyroid diseases, reduced sperm counts, kidney disease, weakened immunity, and other serious health issues.

More concerning research is ongoing.

There have been reports of forever chemicals, specifically per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), being found in the Upper Rio Laja Watershed (7 municipalities: San Miguel de Allende, Delores Hidalgo, Salvatierra, Celaya, Irapuato, León, Silao).
The contamination is part of a broader water crisis in the region, which also includes dangerous levels of arsenic and fluoride. This has led to severe health impacts on the local communities, including dental and skeletal fluorosis, chronic kidney disease, and various cancers.
